Description:

Learn about one of the earliest forms of printmaking - the monoprint or single-run print!

In this workshop led by Forager Crafts, you will create one-of-a-kind artwork by layering heavyweight paper onto a printing block then drawing an original design on top using specialty block-printing ink. When you “pull” the print up, your finished design will be printed onto the paper and ready to hang on a drying rack. You can then “reverse” the print for a second artwork to create a negative of their original.

This is a fun, dynamic, analog craft for all experience levels and perfect for this year's Summer With the Library theme of Postmarked From L.A. Limited to 12 participants and all materials will be provided.

This event is generously funded by the Library Foundation of Los Angeles.
