NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) is an annual writing challenge. Participants have the entire month of November to write a novel. What does that translate to? Averaging about 1667 words per day, 50,000 words in 30 days. If maintained, this will produce a 200 page novel.
Stories matter. Everyone has a story in them and many have a novel just waiting to get out -- but how to start? And once started, the difficulty of finding time or encouragement in this lonely process can be fatal to the creative urge.
