Rock out to celebrate Día with a fun-filled, interactive bilingual Baila Baila concert for kids!  

El día de los niños/El día de los libros (Children's Day/Book Day), commonly known as Día, is a nationally recognized initiative that emphasizes the importance of literacy for all children from all backgrounds that culminates yearly on April 30. Because Día is also a daily commitment to linking children and their families to diverse books, languages and cultures, Día programming at Los Angeles Public Library takes place throughout the month of April.

Join a “Friends” group. There is a “Friends of the Library” group for most branch libraries and departments of the Central Library. Join the Library Foundation of Los Angeles. The Library Foundation is a non-profit organization that raises funds for Library enhancement programs such as adult and early literacy, children and teen reading clubs, technology, and cultural programs.
