Andrés López es un autor e ilustrador mexicano de libros infantiles. Sus libros han sido publicados en México, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Brasil, Italia, Francia, España y Corea del Sur, Bélgica, Alemania y han recibido múltiples premios internacionales. Recientemente Andrés recibió el Premio Internacional de Ilustración 2022 de la Feria del Libro Infantil de Bolonia por su libro ilustrado “Gigante en la orilla”, publicado por Alboroto Ediciones.

Andrés utiliza emociones, recuerdos y metáforas para contar las historias que imagina. Cree que las buenas historias y los libros son como microscopios que permiten a las personas notar los detalles más pequeños que se esconden en nuestra vida diaria. Se siente feliz compartiendo sus historias, escuchando lo que otros ven en ellas, así como conociendo las historias que otros imaginan. Andrés imagina y crea libros desde su estudio en compañía de sus dos perros.

Andrés López is a Mexican author and illustrator of picture books. Most recently, Andrés received the 2022 International Award for Illustration from the Bologna Children's Book Fair for their picture book Giant by the Shore.

They believe that good stories and books are like microscopes that allow people to notice the smallest details hidden in our daily life. They are happy to share their stories and what they have found with others, and to hear about the stories that others imagine, too. Andrés imagines and creates books from their studio in the company of their two dogs.
