Description:

It's an election year! We vote for presidents, governors, senators, mayors, school board members, city and state propositions… and all are opportunities to discuss how voting affects our lives: adults and kids.

Take and make a pre-printed ballot box template to hold a family "election" at home. Family members can vote for a favorite meal, book, or weekend activity. Encourage respectful debate about the pros and cons of each. Have each person cast a secret ballot—majority rules.

This take-and-make kit also includes an election crossword puzzle and an activity sheet for kids to write about what they would do if they were president. Pick up a kit between Oct. 1 - Nov. 5 (Election Day)
