Description:

Join us for a teen program that combines art and LGBTQ+ movement history! Participants will build their own kites, from assembling the frames to painting the sails rainbow colors. With rubber stamps of historical queer symbols, they’ll be able to further decorate their colorful creations. Presenter Wendy McPherson will use the block stamp symbols as a springboard to talk about important battles and victories of the lesbian/gay/trans movement, including her own activism. All materials provided. Limit 16 participants.

This program was made possible with the generous support of the Library Foundation of Los Angeles.
