Description:
Fifth Friday is a group of musicians who also dance. They have been playing for dancers for more than 20 years. Their selections for this performance illustrate the musical tradition of Macedonia and Bulgaria, two European countries at the crossroads between East and West. These gorgeous songs and tunes combine rhythms and melodies of the Ottoman Empire with the chordal and harmonic influences of the West.
