Description:
Please join us online for an L.A. Zine Club session with Drifter Zine!
Drifter Zine is an independent publication based in the San Fernando Valley dedicated to showcasing up-and-coming artists, writers and journalists. The publication is a theme-based print and online zine that highlights a social justice issue or communities through a multitude of works including visual art and writing.
Drifter Zine started in April 2020 at the beginning of the pandemic to create a community space for artists that was vastly needed during this solitary time and has continued to grow since then. The publication is a two-person operation run from home by Co-Editors Madi Parsley and Iván Salinas who are both artists and writers themselves.
During this virtual Zine Club session, participants can co-work, chat, and exchange inspiration for their projects. Whether you're making, sharing, or discovering zines, this is a space to connect with like-minded creators. Come prepared to share your favorite zines, discuss works-in-progress, and even explore music to create by.
Bring pens, paper, scissors, glue sticks, magazines and other supplies to make a zine.
