Description:
After making his name with indie horror-comedies like Slither, writer-director James Gunn applied his trademark humor and edginess to superhero movies, taking them to a new level with his beloved Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy. Now Gunn has delivered his passion project, a super reboot for the original DC hero, Superman (2025, rated PG-13). Superman (David Corenswet) must reconcile his Kryptonian origins with his human upbringing as reporter Clark Kent. He’s the embodiment of truth, justice and the human way, but he soon finds himself in a world that views these as outdated. When Superman gets drawn into conflicts at home and abroad, his actions are questioned, giving tech billionaire Lex Luthor (Nicholas Hoult) an opening to get rid of the Man of Steel once and for all. Will intrepid reporter Lois Lane and his pet dog, Krypto, be able to help him before it's too late?
