Description:

A Hitchcockian thriller that cleverly utilizes smartphones for its twists and turns, Drop (2025, rated PG-13) will have you on the edge of your seat. Violet (Meghann Fahy from White Lotus) is a widowed mother on her first date in years, leaving her sister at home to babysit. When she arrives at the restaurant, she’s relieved to find that her date Henry (Brandon Sklenar, It Ends With Us) is more handsome and charming than she expected. But their chemistry starts to curdle as Violet receives a series of increasingly threatening messages on her phone. The anonymous messenger tells her to check her home security cameras, where she sees a hooded figure threatening to kill her sister and her young son if she doesn’t do as she’s told – starting with stealing Henry’s camera to destroy incriminating photos, and escalating from there. Trapped in a murderous dilemma, Violet must find a way to identify her tormentor and save her family before it’s too late.
