Join LA Compost and the library for an exciting workshop designed to teach youth how to reduce waste and care for the environment through composting! This hands-on workshop will introduce teens to the basics of composting, show how it can help create nutrient-rich soil, and provide tips on how to get started at home or in the community.
In this workshop, participants will learn:
- The Basics of Composting: What composting is and why it's important for the environment
- How to Start Composting: Easy steps to begin composting at home, school, or community gardens
- What to Compost: What materials can be composted and how to balance ingredients for healthy, effective compost
- The Benefits of Composting: Understanding how composting reduces waste, nourishes the soil, and helps fight climate change
