  • Yiddish parody writers like Alan Sherman and Mel Brooks, 2000 Years Old Man, who seemingly became stars overnight after President John F. Kennedy became a fan of theirs and ethnic humor became very popular.
  • Sholem Aleichem, Norman Jewison, Zero Mostel and the success of Fiddler On the Roof.
