Looking for a way to help others this holiday season? Cahuenga Teen Council is hosting a winter donation drive in support of Covenant House, a local nonprofit organization that serves young adults ages 18-24 overcoming homelessness. Teen Council is collecting the following items:

Hygiene supplies (travel or full-size shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, mouthwash, etc.)
Bedding (blankets, quilts, fitted sheets, pillow cases)

Donated items can be dropped off in-person at the library during regular operating hours and will be inventoried and prepared for donation to Covenant House by Teen Council members at the end of the drive. Please note, all items must be new and unopened. Thank you for helping us help our community!

Join a “Friends” group. There is a “Friends of the Library” group for most branch libraries and departments of the Central Library. Friends groups raise money for improvements to their library through memberships, used book sales and other activities. For more information click here or talk to your local librarian.

Join the Library Foundation of Los Angeles. The Library Foundation is a non-profit organization that raises funds for Library enhancement programs such as adult and early literacy, children and teen reading clubs, technology, and cultural programs.
