This event will focus on recognizing and preventing financial fraud and scams. As part of its ongoing commitment to protecting consumers and promoting financial literacy, the DFPI will share insights, tools, and strategies to help individuals and communities identify red flags, avoid scams, and safeguard their financial well-being.
This session will cover:
- Common types of financial fraud and emerging scams
- Tips for spotting fraudulent behavior
- Resources for reporting and recovering from financial fraud
The DFPI encourages all community members, especially seniors, caregivers, and those at higher risk of financial exploitation, to attend and learn how to stay informed and protected.
