Description:

Join Music to the Ears and Academix for a fun, beginner-friendly introduction designed for children and teens interested in digital creativity. Participants will explore music and beat-making, discovering how their love of music can evolve into a recreational hobby or a future career. No experience needed. Just bring your curiosity, passion, and get ready to have fun!

For ages 10 years old and up and their families.

MUSIC to the Ears Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization serving in-school and out-of-school youth and young adults. Our mission is to eliminate all barriers to creative and economic opportunities by providing specialized education, career training, and mentoring programs.

The Octavia Lab is a do-it-yourself maker space located inside the Los Angeles Public Library's historic Central Library.

Join a “Friends” group. There is a “Friends of the Library” group for most branch libraries and departments of the Central Library. Join the Library Foundation of Los Angeles. The Library Foundation is a non-profit organization that raises funds for Library enhancement programs such as adult and early literacy, children and teen reading clubs, technology, and cultural programs.
