Description:

Join scientist and storyteller Gabriel-Philip Santos for a one-hour interactive presentation exploring how cosplay and storytelling can make science more engaging and accessible. Drawing from his work with the Cosplay for Science Initiative, PBS Eons, and as Director of Education at the Raymond M. Alf Museum, Gabriel will discuss the importance of narrative in sci-fi and science communication, and how research can be transformed into wearable, creative expression.

The program will include time for Q&A, with a focus on how participants can use Octavia Lab equipment and resources to develop their own cosplay ideas and projects.

Presented by Cosplay for Science, a group of scientists and educators dedicated to fostering science appreciation through pop culture.

This special program is one of many at the AAPI Joy: AAPI Voices, Then & Now Festival at Central Library.
