Description:

Scrapbooking dates back centuries as a form of keeping family records–literally defined as a book of scraps. With some added curation and creativity, we can craft stories directly onto the page using our “scraps,” photos, and words. Join us for a relaxing scrapbooking workshop and learn how to use this format to begin your personal archiving journey using resources at the library.

Bring old photographs and ephemera to digitize, print, and add to your scrapbook page. All prints are made on 4x6 glossy photo paper.

Scrapbooking materials provided, including 8.5in x 11in or 12in x 12in cardstock craft paper. Participants are welcome to bring their own supplies.

This workshop is geared toward adults but all are welcome.

Photographs in graphic from the Shades of L.A. Photo Collection.

The Los Angeles Public Library offers this workshop as part of Community: Your Archive, Your Legacy, an initiative supported by the Library Foundation of Los Angeles and funded by the Mellon Foundation.
