Learn from Dr. Nahum Melamed—a project leader in the Flight Systems Software Dept. in the Guidance and Control Subdivision at The Aerospace Corporation—how asteroids and comets can be deflected if there is a chance that they may collide with Earth. The Aerospace Corporation has developed a Near Earth Object (NEO) Deflection App for NASA. NEO's are asteroids and comets, and Dr. Melamed will discuss what deflection options are available in this fun and exciting program.
