Description:
Join us in celebrating Central Library's 100th birthday! In this workshop, Nova Community Arts will teach you how to bind and create your very own book. We will be creating a Coptic-bound hardcover book with acrylic covers. You will learn how to fold the paper into signatures and hand-sew the pages and covers together using the traditional Coptic stitch technique. This is a hands-on, person activity where participants will learn bookbinding skills as they hand-stitch together their own hardcover book. We will provide all materials. You’ll leave with your very own book that makes a great sketchbook, planner, or note-taker!
