Description:
A block printing workshop with potatoes teaches the basics of this unique art form and allows for crafters to continue the fun at home with friends or family! Participants carve designs into potatoes, creating custom stamps. Guided by an expert, attendees learn techniques for inking and pressing prints onto paper or fabric, resulting in personalized, hand-crafted artworks and a fun, hands-on creative experience. Each crafter will make a custom tote bag with their carved stamps and black ink.
All supplies and materials are provided by the presenters. There is a strict maximum of 12 participants allowed, which is on a first come, first served basis.
This program is supported by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act, administered in California by the State Librarian.
