Description:

Bring your own device (smartphone, laptop, tablet) to our Drop-In Computer/Device Help session, where staff can assist with basic issues such as how to download an e-book or send an email with an attachment. We can also help you create an email account, learn how to use resources on our website, improve basic computer skills, and more.

This program is intended to provide basic technology and computer assistance. If staff are unable to assist you with your specific issue, they will try to point you to resources that can help. Assistance is provided on a first-come, first-served basis at these drop-in sessions.

No advance registration required. All classes are held on a first-come, first-served basis. Space is limited. You must have a Los Angeles Public Library card to attend computer classes.

Join a “Friends” group. There is a “Friends of the Library” group for most branch libraries and departments of the Central Library. Friends groups raise money for improvements to their library through memberships, used book sales and other activities. For more information click here or talk to your local librarian.

Join the Library Foundation of Los Angeles. The Library Foundation is a non-profit organization that raises funds for Library enhancement programs such as adult and early literacy, children and teen reading clubs, technology, and cultural programs.
