Curious about how to preserve family stories or the history of your neighborhood? Join us to learn about the basics of oral history, including how to gather and preserve stories. You'll learn about the library's efforts to gather stories from communities around the city, including an interesting story about buying a home in the expanding post-war San Fernando Valley.
We'll also share exciting news about opportunities to check out all the equipment you might need to gather these stories!
The Los Angeles Public Library offers this workshop as part of Community: Your Archive, Your Legacy, an initiative supported by the Library Foundation of Los Angeles and funded by the Mellon Foundation.
