Description:

Ages 11-18 can join us online to help make Sylmar Library a better place for other teens! At our Teen Council meetings, you can let us know what books, manga, and teen events you'd like us to have, and learn how you can be a Teen Volunteer at Sylmar Library. Also, you'll learn how you can help local researchers and scientists by checking out our library's science kits and reporting your observations using science apps. Meetings are on Zoom, except during LAUSD Spring and Summer breaks when we will meet in person with free pizza, refreshments, and Wii video games!

Join a “Friends” group. There is a “Friends of the Library” group for most branch libraries and departments of the Central Library. Friends groups raise money for improvements to their library through memberships, used book sales and other activities. For more information click here or talk to your local librarian.

Join the Library Foundation of Los Angeles. The Library Foundation is a non-profit organization that raises funds for Library enhancement programs such as adult and early literacy, children and teen reading clubs, technology, and cultural programs.
