Description:

Come feel the spirit of the drum and join in the fun with an interactive and spirit-lifting drum circle for all ages led by Roberto “KongaKid” Gutierrez. Connect with your fellow drummers and celebrate African American History Month as you learn about West African and Cuban drums, such as the djembe, ashiko, and the conga, plus a variety of percussion instruments. Learn basic patterns to complement your drumming team and share in the "spirit of the groove!"

The Library Foundation is a non-profit organization that raises funds for Library enhancement programs such as adult and early literacy, children and teen reading clubs, technology, and cultural programs.
