Description:

No one likes to talk about menstruation, but the more you know, the more you are prepared to take care of yourself and your body. Join the Library and Planned Parenthood Los Angeles for a workshop about your period. Learn more about what a period is and how it affects your body, plus what products are available to help manage your period, self-care and why there is a stigma around menstruation. This program is for ages 10+ and their parents/guardians. The Library will be providing first period kits to girls who attend to help normalize their periods and make them feel more comfortable with all the changes they are experiencing.

This project was made possible through funding by the Los Angeles Library Foundation (LFLA).
