Description:

Plan, design, and prototype! Learn to use woodworking tools and techniques to design and build a functional stool or chair. Working alone or in parent-child pairs, participants will use basic principles of structural engineering to develop a unique creative design for a piece of furniture they can take home.

This event is part of the No Prior Art program series which celebrates invention and innovation. No Prior Art runs from September 2024 to May 2025 and will result in 50+ programs across 22 participating branch locations. To learn more, please visit lapl.org/nopriorart.

The Library Foundation is a non-profit organization that raises funds for Library enhancement programs such as adult and early literacy, children and teen reading clubs, technology, and cultural programs.
