Description:

Adults are invited to work with a literacy tutor for 15-20 minutes at a time, for assistance with reading, writing, and English conversation. This free service is available on a first-come-first-served basis. Appointments are not necessary, but please call ahead to confirm tutor is on site.

Join a “Friends” group. There is a “Friends of the Library” group for most branch libraries and departments of the Central Library. Join the Library Foundation of Los Angeles. The Library Foundation is a non-profit organization that raises funds for Library enhancement programs such as adult and early literacy, children and teen reading clubs, technology, and cultural programs.
