Description:

This unique, interactive program is suitable for all ages and will be presented in both English and Spanish. Martin Espino, a Master teaching artist with over 40 years of experience, specializes in the indigenous music and culture of Mexico.

During the performance, Martin invites the audience to sing easy-to-learn songs in Native Languages of Mexico, such as Maya and Nahuatl, and play authentic ancient percussion instruments from his vast collection. His presentations are 100% interactive—a technique he pioneered in the 1980s—and are delivered with passion and humor.

The fast-paced and upbeat program offers well-researched, highly educational information on the music, culture, geography, language, and history of Ancient Mexico.
