Make Your October Scaring and Daring!

Authors Eric. J. Guignard, Joe R. Lansdale, and Lisa Morton will join us to discuss their work on the new Horror Writers of America middle grade anthology: Scaring and Daring: Terrifying Takes on 15 Classic Tales. After the discussion, the authors will be available to sign copies of the book.

A limited number of copies will be available for program attendees while supplies last, courtesy of HarperCollins Publishers and The Library Foundation of Los Angeles.

Eric J. Guignard is an author and anthologist of dark and speculative fiction. He’s won the Bram Stoker Award, the Shirley Jackson Award, and been a finalist for the World Fantasy Award and International Thriller Writers Award. His latest fiction collection is A Graveside Gallery: Tales of Ghosts and Dark Matters.

Joe R. Lansdale is an author of mysteries, westerns, horror, thrillers, pulp, crime, and science fiction. He has received the Edgar, Raymond Chandler, Bram Stoker, British Fantasy, and Inkpot Awards. His writing has inspired the TV series Love, Death & Robots, Hap and Leonard, and other projects. He has also written graphic novels for DC, Marvel, Dark Horse, IDW, and more.

Lisa Morton is an author and screenwriter. She is a six-time winner of the Bram Stoker Award. Her recent releases include the novella Placerita (co-written with John Palisano) and the Rondo Hatton Award-winning The Art of the Zombie Movie. She also hosts the popular weekly Ghost Report podcast and a newsletter about the paranormal called The Whole Haunted World.
