The COVID Hotel Welcomes You to the Future is a performance by Los Angeles Poverty Department, a theater group from Skid Row that has performed throughout L.A. and the world. It is inspired by interviews with healthcare workers who ran the LA County Health Department’s Quarantine & Isolation sites for unhoused COVID patients. The performance celebrates the unexpected innovations of these "COVID Hotels" and amplifies the programs that are building upon these innovations to provide low-barrier access to healthcare and housing.

The performance will be followed by a community discussion with Alisa Osunfunke Orduna (Florence Aliese Advancement Network), Carla Orendorff (Aetna Street Solidarity), and Giselle "Gelly" Harrell (SFV Homeless Union).
