Description:

We Love L.A. Book Club examines books and authors that weave the diversity and rich history of our city into their works.

The selection for July is The Day of the Locust by Nathanael West. Considered by many critics to be the best novel ever written about Hollywood, the book follows aspiring artist Tod Hackett, who hopes for a career in set design but soon joins the ranks of the disenchanted that drift around the fringes of Hollywood.
