Description:

Americans often speak fast and use confusing expressions and slang. Watching and discussing TV and film is an effective and fun way to improve your comprehension and communication in modern American English. In this class, we'll watch clips of popular, modern shows as well as "viral internet moments." While watching, we'll pause to explain and write down new vocabulary and expressions. Then we'll have a lively discussion about what we just saw, so we can practice speaking. Overall, this class is fun, casual, lighthearted, and friendly, with joy and laughter!

Join a “Friends” group. There is a “Friends of the Library” group for most branch libraries and departments of the Central Library. Join the Library Foundation of Los Angeles. The Library Foundation is a non-profit organization that raises funds for Library enhancement programs such as adult and early literacy, children and teen reading clubs, technology, and cultural programs.
