Celebrate summer reading at the library! We have lots of fun programs for children every Wednesday at 10 a.m. (except July 23). All events are 45-60 minutes long.
June 18: Thor’s Reptile Family - Get up close with amazing creatures in this hands-on, educational show featuring arthropods, amphibians, and reptiles from around the world. Learn about their feeding habits and habitats, and even get the chance to touch and hold them!
June 25: Creative Plate Cooking Class - Learn how to make an easy snack at home using healthy ingredients. Everyone gets a sample to try. Please email rlaw@lapl.org if you plan to come and have a dietary request.
July 2: Blue Submarine Tidepool Experience - Experience marine life up-close and personal with live tidepool animals, including sea stars, sea urchins, sea slugs, hermit crabs, and more. Learn about their incredible adaptations and how they survive in the ocean.
July 9: World Percussion Journey With Delton - Join Delton on an interactive drumming adventure around the world. This musical journey inspires creativity, cultural awareness, and rhythmic exploration.
July 16: Nathalia’s Bilingual Family Concert - Sing, dance, and learn with singer-songwriter Nathalia in this bilingual, multicultural acoustic performance. Enjoy a variety of music styles and hands-on fun with props and instruments.
July 29: Snooknuk Live & Robot Puppet Show - Step into a musical world of nursery rhymes, sing-alongs, games, dancing, bubbles, balloon-twisting, and more! Hosted by Cheri Moon, the happy singer and owner of Snooknuk Cafe, and EBOT, the singing robot puppet who performs inside an awesome rocket ship LED puppet stage.
