Description:
Join professional photographer and lighting director Lance Williams for this unique program to learn more about how to utilize the lightning equipment in the Octavia Lab.
The focus of this workshop will center on introductory and intermediate practical and analytical approaches to photo lighting. Choosing light sources, light modification, and referential analysis techniques will all be covered in the workshop. Participants will be asked to arrive with 2 lighting references each to engage in a critical analysis of how to achieve lighting looks. Additionally, participants will be able to observe a hands-on demonstration utilizing lighting equipment provided by the Octavia Lab and Black Image Center, guided by the instructor. Participants are welcome to bring film or digital cameras to use in the workshop, and cameras will also be provided.
