Description:
Taty Hernandez, artist and founder of Lumbre Ceramics, will show how to make seed spheres with clay and indigenous plants. Taty (they/them), an Angelino, imagines radical futures through community art. After returning to Oaxaca in 2020, Taty learned Zapotec farming, plant medicine, and oral history from elders. They use clay and earth as tools to connect with ancestral memory and dream up queer indigenous futures.
