Description:

Learn basic papermaking techniques utilizing recycled paper materials found around the home, such as junk mail, old homework, newspapers, or a variety of almost any kind of paper.

Sophia will discuss the materials and basic equipment, as well as demonstrate step-by-step how to create pulp and use a screen to create handmade paper. Participants will make small sheets of unique handmade paper as well as use the paper pulp created to make "seed bombs," adding seeds of local native plants to their pulp.
