Misha Kreinbring will present a mix of music by Joe Hisaishi (Studio Ghibli composer), as well as Toru Takemitsu and Akira Myoshi. The audience will learn about Japanese music, starting with film music that they already know from Howl's Moving Castle, Spirited Away, and My Neighbor Totoro. Afterward, they will learn about Japanese contemporary concert music for the classical guitar and make connections between the two.
