Description:

The Kidney Disease Screening and Awareness Program (KDSAP) at UCLA is hosting a free kidney screening, no health insurance required.

Participants can learn more about their kidney health quickly and efficiently as UCLA physicians assess several health indicators, such as blood pressure, blood sugar, and urine. In addition, student volunteers will distribute educational materials to spread awareness about kidney disease and promote early detection. This disease causes kidney function to be decreased, and approximately 90% of adults with CKD are undiagnosed. As CKD persists, people can experience symptoms like fatigue, weakness, confusion, high blood pressure, and heart problems, which can lead to limited treatment options such as dialysis.
