Join us for another adventure with Expedition L.A., a free program series bringing you closer to the beautiful nature and State Parks of Los Angeles. Funding provided by the State of California.

Families are invited to read, move, and learn together during this program based on the book Wake, Sleepy One: California Poppies and the Super Bloom by Lisa Kerr and illustrated by Lisa Powell Braun. We will follow the California poppy's incredible journey, from seed to flower to the rare super bloom.

Adults will learn new ways to share picture books with children and cultivate a love of reading. All families will take home two new books and a fun activity that will inspire a family hike.
