Description:
Join our pop-up sewing workshop and small business presentation on how to turn a hobby or interest into a fulfilling small business.
Our presenter, Ellen Lumpkin Brown, is a sewing instructor and aficionado, artist, and small business owner. She is also an LA native who currently lives outside of New York. She is the owner of Sew It! Workshop, and the Pop Up and Virtual Sewing Studio and has taught thousands of folks to sew and create amazing projects. Her workshops are popular programs in libraries, museums, and corporations across the country.
Ellen will be doing a short presentation on how she started, challenges, and hiccups that a small business owner experiences as they build their business from the ground up. We will also have a sewing workshop, where you will learn to sew a fun and useful project that you can take home.
No sewing experience is needed.
