Description:

Come join us to make your own handcrafted book!

Making this book introduces you to the art and craft of bookbinding. You will learn to make a book case with book cloth, sew and insert the pages, and add a bookmark. Cover the book with decorative paper, and perhaps, a collage. Your book is small enough to carry with you, ready to hold your thoughts, quotes, or a list of books to read. All materials will be provided.

About Laurel: Laurel has fifteen years of experience as a freelance artist. She has created and implemented literature-based art classes for young adults in libraries, art centers, non-profit organizations, and after-school programs.

Join the Library Foundation of Los Angeles. The Library Foundation is a non-profit organization that raises funds for Library enhancement programs such as adult and early literacy, children and teen reading clubs, technology, and cultural programs.
