Description:
One Book One Coast will celebrate They Called Us Enemy with a screening of the documentary Toyo's Camera: Japanese American History During WWII. Directed by Junichi Suzuki and narrated by George Takei, the film explores Japanese concentration camps in America through the perspective of Toyo Miyatake, who used a camera to document this period of history from within the camps. The screening will be followed by Japanese origami, and hot Japanese tea will be served throughout the program.
