Description:

Join LA Commons in creating Afrofuturist Masks to uplift the rich visionary heritage of Octavia E. Butler. Participants will draw from seeds, plants, traditional Adinkra symbols, and futuristic components to create unique masks and fans that bridge the past, present, and future.

This special program is one of many at the June Jubilee: A Celebration of Black Excellence at Central Library.

Join the Library Foundation of Los Angeles. The Library Foundation is a non-profit organization that raises funds for Library enhancement programs such as adult and early literacy, children and teen reading clubs, technology, and cultural programs.
