Nature Journaling Club
Nature journaling is the art and science of recording your observations of the natural world. Newcomers and seasoned journalers alike are invited to join us as we use writing, drawing, and our five senses to study the nature all around us. This program is open to participants ages 12 and up.
Telescope Night Under the Stars With NASA
Weather permitting, join us outside the library to view the moon, Jupiter and Saturn up close through telescopes, guided by a NASA JPL Engineer and a NASA JPL Solar System Ambassador. They’ll explain what you’re seeing and answer your questions about planets and space. All ages are welcome.
Upcycled Crafting
Don't throw it away. Make something fun with recycled materials. Gather up your clean used plastic, and we will sort it into recyclable and non-recyclable, and then create art with the materials that would have gone into a landfill.
Tiny Terrariums: Earth Day Craft for Tweens and Teens
Create your own mini-greenhouse in a jar, with a live plant, moss, soil, and decorations. Nurture a young plant by giving it a home, while learning the science of plant respiration and growth. Terrarium supplies are provided but limited, on a first-come, first-served basis.
Kelp Forests
Have fun under the sea with special guests PS Science. Celebrate Everything Earth with seaweed crafts, treats and more.
