Description:

Outside of a book, a dog is a kid's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read.

Find out how wonderful it can be to read to a canine companion. Kids are invited to help professional therapy dogs with our storytime by reading your favorite book to them and giving them loving pets.

Join a “Friends” group. There is a “Friends of the Library” group for most branch libraries and departments of the Central Library. Join the Library Foundation of Los Angeles. The Library Foundation is a non-profit organization that raises funds for Library enhancement programs such as adult and early literacy, children and teen reading clubs, technology, and cultural programs.
