LA Made in collaboration with VC Archives, one of the largest photographic and moving image archives on Asian Pacific experiences in America, is proud to present Stories and Conversations Across Generations. From elder storytellers to emerging artists, this curated selection of short films bridges generational gaps and celebrates cultural legacies passed down through Asian Pacific families. With both new and seasoned filmmakers, this multigenerational conversation will deepen the audience’s understanding of collective memory and cultural resilience.
Films shown will include:
- More Than a Roast Chicken by Patty Fong
- Mochi, Sticks Us Together by Teresa Matsushima
- JOOK by Olivia Stark
- A Guide for When Immigrants Become Ancestors by Iliana Garcia
After the screenings, there will be a moderated conversation between the filmmakers.
