Developed through a Fulbright Specialist grant awarded to photo librarian Wendy Horowitz, The Sounds of Sunset depicts the partnership between Los Angeles Public Library Photo Collection and the Mediatheque Musicale de Paris, reimagining the Sunset Strip through the eyes and ears of the French public, across three decades of youth, rebellion, and rock & roll. This collaboration has the distinction of being the first Fulbright project between two public libraries centered on a shared cultural theme.
