Description:

We’re reading Be a Maker by Katey Howes aloud in Centennial Park! A StoryWalk is interactive and gets us outside together in our neighborhood. The story will be followed by a craft program in the Library. Outdoor walks encourage activities that build early literacy skills among kids, like talking, noticing, and playing. We will have multiple StoryWalks featuring Be a Maker this Summer.

Meet at the Library five minutes prior to the event, and we will walk across the parking lot together to begin the StoryWalk. Venice of America Centennial Park shares an address with the Library. It's accessible to strollers and wheelchairs.

Expect a sunny 20-30 minute walk. Hats and sunscreen are encouraged.
