The Library's Disability Community Affinity Group welcomes you to cosplay and learn about the culture of cosplay and its creative intersection with the disability community through storytelling, workshops, programming, and interactive activities. Join us for a day of fun, creativity, and inclusivity for all ages.

Star Wars Storytime
Time: 12 noon - 12:30 p.m.
Children and their adults are welcome to join in to listen to stories and songs from a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…
BARK Reading Dogs
Time: 12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Children of reading age are able to sit with a gentle therapy dog and practice their reading skills in a calm and nonjudgmental environment.
Create your own cardboard cosplay accessories!
Time: 12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Is your cosplay missing something? Create swords, shields, and masks with cardboard!
Cartooning Workshop
Time: 12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Eddie Diangelini of Santa Monica Comics Company and creator of Collectors comic strip will lead a cartooning workshop on how to create your own comic book character.
DIY Sword Fighting Demo
Time: 1:30 p.m. - 2 p.m.
Professionals from the Game On Stunt Team will show off choreographed swordfighting and demonstrate how to safely stage fight.
Cosplay Fashion Show
Time: 2 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Learn about the mental health benefits of miniature therapy horses. Patrons of all ages are invited to pet and take photos with the horses.
