Description:

Learn the basics of computerized embroidery, from creating a design to embroidering clothing. Participants will learn how to digitize basic shapes and designs in Ink Stitch, how to place and hoop the design, how to export the design, and how to safely use and operate the Happy Japan embroidery machine to create projects.

The Octavia Lab is a do-it-yourself maker space located inside the Los Angeles Public Library's historic Central Library.

The Library Foundation is a non-profit organization that raises funds for Library enhancement programs such as adult and early literacy, children and teen reading clubs, technology, and cultural programs.
